Brake service includes checking of the following parts of the brake –

• Pads which are also called as shoes – These are the parts which form a contact between the rotors and thus they are responsible for causing friction in the car.
• Callipers – Callipers are known to apply pressure and as a result, your brake pads gets activated which results in a friction in the car. Callipers are dependent on brake fluids to function properly.
• Rotors which are also known as drums – Each rotor is directly connected to each tire. In order to stop the car, the rotor also must stop spinning.
• Wheel cylinders – It is located in the wheel and positioned at the top of the wheel. The major function of the wheel cylinder is to apply force so that the vehicle gets stopped with friction.
• Brake hardware which consists of springs and adjusters
• Hoses – As soon as the brake pedal is pressed, brake fluid goes through brake hose and then reaches each calliper as a result of which brake pads comes into action. 
• Cables used in a parking brake
• Varied fluid conditions – When pressure is generated among the brake fluid lines, energy is evenly distributed all throughout the brakes so that they perform as effectively. In case, your brake fluid begins to leak then your car won’t stop at all.
• Fluid exchange of master cylinder – When you add fluid with water vapour to the brake system of your car then acid is created. If your brake fluid is inefficient then it can destroy vital parts of the braking system.

Brake maintenance is one of the long-term and constant maintenance procedure which ensures that your brake must function properly and as a result, your car will also run perfectly.

• Always keep the fluid of brake cylinder full. Whenever it is low, it means that you are putting excess pressure on your brake cylinder which in turn also shows its effect on pads, rotors and drums.
• Most of the cars today have steel or alloy wheels which make it easier to look at callipers, pads, and rotors. You also need to have a regular check for brake service at uneven pad wears, pits, or scratches so that your brake maintenance is perfect and complete.  
• Do you know that if your brakes are not functioning properly, then modern cars have a brake indicator which gets activated? Thus, it makes sure that you also check the same.
• Keep a regular check on the wear and tear, rust, and holes and thus in addition to your brakes, wheels also must be regularly checked.
